Very good outline on things we should work on Even though it was published over 10 years ago, it still has lessons applicable to today.

I loved President Hinckley He was an amazing man, and I will always remember when he first spoke about the Be Attitudes I was a teen when he gave this talk, and I love how simple and straight forward his 9 Bs are I think everyone, not just members of the LDS church, could benefit from living by these Bs I loved reading the personal stories and lessons from President Hinckley s life He had some amazing parents This book is short and sweet, but there is a lot to absorb.

Gordon B Hinckley s 9 rules are powerful, simple, and, if lived authentically, will bring great happiness to anyone s life Even though I m not religious, the ninth rule, Be prayerful, really helped to remind me the power of future orientation and thinking with the end in mind Stephen Covey s 3rd Habit of Highly Effective People The power of prayer, I believe, is not that your wishes will suddenly be granted, it is that you are clarifying exactly what you want in your life and are able to constan [...]

I was looking in my family s book shelf, and we have some old books on there that haven t been read for a while, so I found this small book by one of our old prophets for the Latter Day Saints, and thought maybe I should read it since the tittle caught my interest, Way to Be 9 Rules For Living the Good Life The book wasn t that long, I just finished last night on the 4th of October, 2017 And I d like to recommend this book to those that aren t, and are members of the Latter Day Saints, because I [...]

It is wonderful to read words of wisdom from one who has spent a lifetime learning the ways to success and happiness It makes me sad to think of the many people who will discount his words because he is old or because he is a prophet of God or because they think he is old fashioned If only they would hearken to his wise advice, how much better their lives would be, and how much better off the world would be It is not too late for me to listen and learn either.

    ReaderTurnedWriter

I loved this book I hope all my kids read it as teenagers I love Gordon B Hinckley s optimistic outlook on life and people, while still managing to be realistic I love how much faith he has in future generations and in God, and I love how easily he shares that with the reader I finished this book feeling uplifted, inspired, and wanting to be a better person.

    Nicole

Quick and uplifting read I read it start to finish today I also read this years ago, but it s all still so fitting in today s world He speaks very bluntly I now see it as a good teaching tool as a parent and youth leader Great words of advice and comfort to read and re read.

There is not much I can say about Way to Be as it is the kind of book that leaves me without words I find it both amusing and humbling to have read so many descriptions and reviews of evil things of the world and found within them that the reviewers were left speechless or breathless I have always been able to speak about the evil things I have experienced within media of all kinds I pray that I not be seen as a hypocrite for saying this, but as a human race, as the children of the most high God [...]
